Where is it?
Greenstone is a just few minutes west of Placerville and on the north side of Highway 50. This neighborhood is bordered by 2 access roads. Lotus Road (west entrance) and Green Valley Road (southeast entrance). Depending on where your house is located and where you want to go will dictate which entrance is best for you to use.Why Do People Live Here?
This impressive and alluring former ranch land is composed of almost 2,265 rustic rolling countryside acres. This Gated
community offers Spectacular lake and valley views, and
equestrian parcels. Conveniently located to the west of Placerville and just
minutes to Hwy 50 and shopping. Residents enjoy 261
acres of open space and over 11 miles of riding and hiking trails and a
community arena. The community also consists of 3 lakes for swimming and
fishing. Whats the Neighborhood Like?
Parcels range in size between 2 and 20
acres (most are 3-5 acres). This is very much an equestrian community
but you don't have to own a horse to appreciate (or live in) Greenstone
Country. Home sizes range between 1800 square feet to 5500 square feet with most being between 3000-3900 square feet. Some of the earliest homes were built in the late 1980s but most were constructed between the mid 1990s to the early 2000s. Home styles/architecture vary significantly. Common to see contemporary ranch homes but also Victorians, English Tutors, Castlebrook and one of my personal favorites Prairie style homes.
There are also a very creative style homes. Not sure what to call this.
